Everything You Need To Know
Welcome to Applefest 2024! We are only a couple of weeks away from the festival.
There are a few housekeeping items that I go over every year, so here they are:
-
I have attached the vendor layout map and spreadsheet.
-
Everyone with a Friday set up time is in the following spaces: 52-93, 94 -133, 164-170, 134-162, all food trucks and all in the park vendors.
-
The Orchard vendors (and alcohol vendors that have orchards) will start setting at 10am on Friday.
-
Alcohol vendors (that are not connected to an Orchard Vendor) start at 12 noon on Friday.
-
Food Trucks will start setting at 12noon. You will come in on SW 5th and turn onto SW 2nd. You will park from East to West depending on where your window or serving door is. All vendors must serve facing SW 2nd. Line up will be one at a time so there is not any backing in between two other trailers or trucks.
-
There is only 110 electricity available. There is not anything larger. If you need more, you need to bring a generator.
-
No one will be able to reduce from a 50amp to a 110v.
-
-
-
Saturday setup will start at 6:30am and must completed by 8:30am for a 9am sales start. Those booth spaces are 1-51,163, 171-190.
-
All vendors who requested electrical hookups will be inspected by Public Works for safety and compliance. They will be making their rounds to each corresponding vendor.
-
The Wi-Fi system is limited to 500 users. That means with 250 vendors, each vendor can have access to two devices on the Wi-Fi system. More than that will crash the system and not allow to have sales processed online, we therefore ask that vendors do not share the Wi-Fi information with others. Wi-Fi information will be provided to vendors via email ASAP.
-
All Vendors will need to come to Town Hall to check in. If you do not check in, you will be considered a no show.
-
To check in, Friday vendors need to stop at Town Hall to get your vendor packet or information. This will vary depending on the type of vendor you are and where you come from, but all must check in.
-
Friday, Orchards need to check in at Town Hall by 11am, Alcohol vendors, Food Trucks, and vendors in the park need to check into Town Hall by 1pm. If you do not make it by that time, you will not receive your packet.
-
Vendors who set up on Saturday, must check into Town Hall by 8am; otherwise, you will not receive your vendor packet.
-
-
Due to the size of the festival and the number of vendors, it is your responsibility to check in with the Town, we cannot chase each vendor down.
-
There will not be help provided to unload or load your supplies, so please be sure to arrange that in advance.
-
Vehicles will not be allowed on the roads once they are closed off. So, you may want to bring a dolly or hand truck to assist you.
-
Local vendors who are in Cedaredge, Austin, Cory, Eckert or Orchard City will receive a “Local Vendor” sign that you must display at your booth.
-
Those who sponsor the festival or sponsor events will receive special signage as well. Those who sponsor the festival need to drop banners off at Town Hall before Thursday the 3rd, they can then be picked up starting the 10th.
-
All vendors must be set up for the duration of the festival.
-
If you are an alcohol vendor and wish to pre-purchase festival glasses, we can do so from October 1-3 at Town Hall between 7am and 5pm. The wine glasses come 12 per case and the beer glasses come 24 per case. The Town will charge you $15 per glass, as that is what they sell for. Please email me to make those arrangements.
-
If you need more glasses during the festival, you will need to go to the glasses booth in the park to pick those up. There will not be delivery available.
-
I have included a copy of our music poster, because you can go on Spotify and start jamming out to the incredible lineup now! Once again, David Starr has been absolutely amazing at curating the music for Applefest. You need to take a listen; you won’t be disappointed!
-
Vendors can park in the Civic Center Parking lot, or anywhere along the outside of the festival grounds where you are not blocking a private drive.
If you have any questions, please let me know. We have worked extremely hard to get everyone located where they want to be, however, we could not give everyone exactly what they wanted.
You will also notice this year that we have an awesome new addition called First Responder way. This is a wonderful group of Police Officers, the Ambulance District, Delta Health and the Cedaredge Fire Department. They are always ready to help and jump in during a crisis and they deserve to be mentioned and thanked for their dedication to this festival and the safety and wellness of those who attend.
Due to this addition, it will make the parking lot behind the Masonic Hall unavailable to any vendors. If a vendor parks there, they will be towed at the vendor’s expense. This parking lot will be accessible by those with a permit only. Also for emergency purposes, no vendors will be allowed to park in the alleyway on the East side of the park; that must remain open for emergency vehicles and authorized musicians.
It is because we have such incredible vendors and sponsors that this is one of the best Fall Festivals in Colorado. We appreciate all of your hard work, and we know that being a vendor is not an easy task. We will help how we can, but please realize that at the same time, we are a small staff of 22 putting this even on.
It is the easiest to reach me via text at this point in time. I am out of the office more than I am in the office, with the festival being so close.
I will only answer texts or emails during business hours, so please do not text me at 11pm and expect a response the same evening. I will do my absolute best to respond as quickly as I can, and please know I value all of you.
Thank you and I cannot wait to see all of you again. I just know this is going to be another fantastic festival!
If you need last minute reservations and have a camp trailer, I have a couple of open spaces in Cedaredge left. You can contact Charla Meeks at 970-986-2441 or you can contact Cathy Meskel at 970-379-3324. The last I spoke with these ladies, there were openings, I do apologize if they are gone by now, but I thought I would share the information.
Have a great week and please travel safely! Thank you all again for being such awesome vendors and making this event a Western Slope favorite!
